For something that's an alpha version is damn good! Once it has keyboard support alone, it will be excellent! Easily the best version of Castaway so far.
Skeezix is the best!
GP2X demonstrates the future: open console, simple design, powerful enough!!!
GP@x console shows that with simple ideas you can get something nice: that's a pity that only korean company is doing it, not an american one or a european one...
More great progress on 0.03! Keyboard support! Excellent stuff and the sound is 10x better, some music timing is wonky like Captain Blood, but still very playable!
(Hey if a US company did it it would be closed and cost the earth to buy!)
This plays almost all games I throw at it fast and with full sound!
An excellent emulator from one of the masters!
Well done Skeezix
World class emu! The messed up disk display is fixed and a new full screen mode is in! Especially like the new beef flavour! Tks again Cj.
Nice emulator! Even demos working good. I tried all our Demos (ACF) and they run even with sound. Only Just Buggin cant boot ...
Very good so far, games play perfectly on this little machine, music still needs some work. Could I make some suggestions? Please get rid of the option to delete games, I don't find it particularly very usefull because every now and again I accidently delete a game I want to play. Also it would be handy to have the names of all games in the image file displayed automatically when you select one from the list as opposed to having it as a seperate option. It would be pretty cool if each game had its own key mapping configuration file too.
Agree with last post about the delete image function. I did the same last night. Perhaps just having an 'are you sure' message would be best? Aside from that this is a fantastic emulator, I have Castaway on my Palm which is great, but this takes it to a new level. Thanks very much.
where do i get tos images from??
Finally, fast and good ST emulation!
The speed is incredible! Switching disks is also very easy. It would be GREAT if it can support overclocking and an option to turn off the disk image scanning. Also, TV-Out shows only half the screen. I'd love to hook this up to a real CRT and see the scan lines. :-) Here's a video of outcast v0.008 running on YouTube:
Being able to set a rom path on EXT drives would be nice. Even though I can run the emu from my hard drive it always looks for roms on the SD card.
A very good emulator. Better TV-Out support would be cool, though.
Best emu on the gpx2, great work - I wish someone would do as good a job for the amiga!
THe only problem I have had is with one of my fav games - Curse of Ra - it loads, then hangs on a black screen - can anyone solve this?
Very good - quick, most stuff i've run works. Well done. Only issue I have is the pitch of the music is wrong (it's about 5 semitones too high i think). I'm using a 2.0.0 fw gp2x f100 - at any clock speed. if the source is available i'd like to check out the sound if Ok skeezix
This is just brilliant ! Unfortunately I'm still as bad at Xenon 2 as I always was :o(
I can't seem to get the virtual keyboard shift keys to work. It doesn't look as though they've been implemented yet.
I cannot run any game. What must i do exactly?
