Overall it's nicely presented. At first I didn't think I was going to be able to cope with the smallness of the "squares" because some of the icons on them are difficult to identify but I realised after a short time that it's possible to ignore the icons and concentrate on the colours.
For me there are a few issues with the cursor navigation :-
- No button repeat makes navigation of the board tiresome
- The cursor needs to wrap around at the board edges
- There's no diagonal movement
There's some mild flickering on the main menu and in-game when moving the cursor. It looks as though you are updating the entire screen every time a button is pressed.
What's the difference between a "standard game" and a "random game"? You don't mention it in the readme. I think it's simply that the random game is smaller and not necessarily equal in width and heigth.
I have found some interesting game mechanics that possibly you are aware of but I'm not sure they are correct :-
- It is possible to pick up an empty space and swap it with a square
- If there are two or more matching squares adjoining one another and I pick up one and immediately put it back in the same place, its matching neighbours disappear but the one I picked up doesn't.
Once a game has started there is no way to return to the main menu even when completing a game. The user is required to press Start to quit to the GP2X and then run the game again.
On game completion I'm presented with my score and nothing is done with it. It would be nice to have a high score table so that I have an incentive to play again.
I've enjoyed what I've played of it.

Hi Thunor
Thank for the input.
I will defiantly look in to the cursor navigation issues.
As for the game mechanics
your first point was intentional swapping an empty space will a square
allows the player of position squares more strategically to be the best
chance for a combo i.e.
X0X
000
X0X
And you second point that is a bug :) which I will fix ASAP
This is my first game so some of the other things such as the score table
Is some thing I would really like to include but currently don’t know how.
Thanks
Mac

One of the immediate positives of this dial orientation is that it allows for the depth of the movement architecture and, Rolex Replica Watches more importantly, Voutilainen’s superlative hand finishing to be on full Breitling replica display. The surfaces of the pinions and wheels are completely flat and highly polished to within exceptionally uniform tolerances. All finishing work on the main plate and bridges, luxury replica watches are by hand to achieve the highest possible levels of surface finish. The screws and all steel parts are finished and polished by hand. The titanium case is made by the workshop that Voutilainen helped establish |
