Does this allow you to play MP4 videos? Transcoding all my video podcasts is getting frustrating. |
|

Indeed, Wonderful. Generally fast, plays mpegs. Cant wait to see what can be done if you try harder to optimize!! Dont listen to the ratings. Some asshole must be rating everything 1 so it looks like everything sucks and there program doesnt. Looks like ratings got reset too. That must be becuase of the bug where a user logged out was able to vote. It may have led to an exploit; after all, the insane number of votes were just crazy. Ill check MP4 support. |

I tried a PSP MP4, not there. Waninkoko, please, post source codes. For legal issues and such. Also, I believe we can compile an MP4 codec for mplayer as usual as long as the compiler would do it. Just compile it for arm9 right devs? I'll do it, if its an open source codec. Some are windows codecs running under a builtin wine, but as far as i know they would need to be ARM9 compiled for windows CE to work like that. That would be interesting, Wine for WinCE on your GP2X... I'm getting my enviroment ready, but i still need to see if your version of the source would read it... |

How do you get this MPlayer to start? It appears to only load via the GAMES section of the menu as the main file ends in GPE. When I load it, all the buttons return me to the menu. Is there something special you have to do first please? |

Seems very buggy. I tried one xvid avi and it went black for a long time. when the video did eventually come on the screen it was running at about 1 frame every 2 seconds and i couldnt get out of the application. |

Same Here. This tool is good because it plays Mpeg, and DIVX files that didnt work with the other players. However, the framerate is terrible, black scrren stays up for way too long after I select a film, then no buttons respond when the film finally comes on. With improvements this tool could be great but for now it's not. |

I just got my GP2X and have been downloading software all day. I have no idea how to configure this app to work. I am not a noobie to Linux. If you could just tell me what files to place where and what to modify I could do it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
