| Nethack (graphical version) sharp tiny ASCII tilesets |

So, you're hacking your way through Dzz's graphical Nethack port, and start
feeling the urge to play the game using an ASCII tileset. But damn! The
tileset the game comes with is blurry and weird! OH NO!
Well, that's what I felt, at least.. So I started programming some tools and
did some tedious work, and came up with this tileset, based on Small Fonts
and some of my own creative pixeltext...
The result? Tiny ASCII characters, which are easy to read, for the ultimate
geeky portable Nethack-ness...

Installing instructions:
Because of a bug in Dzz's Nethack (v0.6) you would need to do the following:
1) Remove 3 tilesets from your installation.
(These can be the old ASCII tilesets, or the large, chunky ones,
if you want to compare the old with the new tileset)
2) Extract the contents of this ZIP file into your NETHACK folder.
3) Play the game - select any of the NewNethack tilesets in the game menu
(To do so, hit START) |
