- CBZ-Reader -
A ComicBook Zip (CBZ) File Reader written in Python using Pygame for CAANOO.
Uses PickleLauncher to select the File to read.
ComicBook Zip (CBZ) Files are technically 1 or more Image Files within a Zip File, using .cbz instead of .zip as Filename Extension.
Simply put your CBZ Files in the folder "books" in the CBZ-Reader directory and start reading.
Controls:
Stick: Scroll around
A/Y: Zoom Out/In
B: Reset View
X: Rotate View
L/R: Previous/Next Page
Note: This is to be considered as a Beta Version or so. Please report any Errors you run into, so i can fix them. (or at least try to do so...)
Note2: This may be a little slow while displaying big Images...

| i installed it to my caanoo and doesnt load it stays at black screen then to get back to the home screen i have to restart my caanoo |

| if the problem occurs after seleting the book to read in picklelauncher, there are 2 possilble causes i could imagine: 1. you are trying to load a cbz which is not a zip file (for example rar,7z,tar or so). 2. the images inside the cbz are extremly big and take a long time to load. in this case, try to scale them down to 800x600 pixels or so. p.s.: in case you don't have already, you need to have python installed in "/python". |

| the book with instructions on was the only thing i had on it when i select it from my apps it takes forever to load then it stays black no book select screen or nothing its like it freezes on start up |

| 'kay, that's strange. i tested it again, a minute ago, it took about 10 seconds to load, but it worked... in this case, check "CBZ-Reader.stderr" and "CBZ-Reader.stdout" in the CBZ-Reader directory. if the content of these files is of no help for you, send them to isendrak@googlemail.com along with "books.conf" and a list of files inside the "cache" directory. i hope i can find something helpfull by analyzing these. |

| hey guys, sorry it took so long... but i guess i found the problem: in the CBZ-Reader.ini path="/CBZ-Reader/CBZ-Reader.gpe" should be changed to path="/CBZ-Reader/CBZ-Reader.gpu". it seems, that i changed this in the ini i used for testing but forgot to change it in the release... P.S.: sometimes a simple typo is the source of an overkill-sized problem... |
