With firmware 1.6.1 you need to activate usbhost by editing /mnt/ubifs/usr/gp2x/common.ini and adding the following two lines to the end of the file: [usbhost] enable = 1

The file /mnt/ubifs/usr/gp2x/common.ini is on the flash drive of your CAANOO. You can use telnet to change it (check https://www.gp32x.com/board/index.php?/topic/56634-usb-ethernet-with-stock-usb-cable to get a network connection with telnet working on your CAANOO).

Hi, Ive spent hours trying to get this to work :( I have installed Ubuntu as per the above link and followed all the instructions. When I run the app Ubuntu tries to auto connect to USB 0 but gives up after a number of what I assume to be failed attempts. I've tried editing the script to an IP address on my network, i've tried using stock ip address no joy. I think for people to really use this we need some more detailed instructions for those of us who never used Linux or telnet before :( I really want to use this app so please help!

Without changing the application on the above link, wait for Ubuntu to give up on usb0 and do this: sudo ifconfig usb0 10.0.2.1 netmask 255.255.255.0; telnet 10.0.2.2

Thanks for the reply, will this be typed into the command line in ubuntu exactly as written above i.e. 1 line? I have emailed a service centre in germany hopefully they will repair my caanoo (bootloader is wiped) When I get it back it would be cool to use a 360 pad on it so thanks very much. Wish i'd been more patient for the reply :( :( :(

I was able to get the telnet connection working and I added those lines to the common.ini. However, I cannot get the controllers to sync. Has anyone had any luck with the Wireless 360 controllers?

The lights on the wireless controllers will keep flashing even after they have been paired with the receiver (known kernel module bug). Try to use them in the main menu of PicoDrive to see if they're working.

Hmm.. PicoDrive seems to recognize that I have the wireless adapter plugged in, but no controllers seem to respond. I am on 1.6.1, by the way. Perhaps I editted the common.ini wrong?

If the wireless receiver led turns ON when connected to the CAANOO, then the common.ini should be ok. I just had to sync the controler with the receiver (1: press the *sync* button on the receiver; 2: press the *sync* button on the controller).
