Launch the script gp2xsleep_and_menu.gpe.
If you want to get your gp2x to sleep press L+R+middle volume.
CPU will go down to 30Mhz, backlight will be disabled and the lcd chip will be turned off.
Battery led will blink every second.
To go back to normal mode, use the same combination again.
The program stays active while the gp2x is running. |

Can you perhaps make it so that if middle volume is pressed, GP2xsleep blocks all other keypresses for other applications? I'm not sure if that is technically possible and all, but it'd surely make using this application a lot more easy.. :) |

| 31-03-2008: Seems to almost work in firmware 4.0 on my F-100. Except the screen goes black immediately. The button combo works to then sleep it and wake it up, but the screen doesn't come back. Any ideas? |

| I have firmware 4.0 on an F200 and it doesn't seem to work quite right for me... the screen stays on and gets really glitched up, but pressing the buttons to deactivate it terminates that, so it might not matter. As for whether or not it actually does what it's supposed to do besides that, I'm not entirely sure but some signs point to 'yes'. Of course having the screen on detracts from the amount of battery life I'm preserving... |
