Great work although i cant seem to get elite to work with the GP2X joystick.

Nice emulator. I should mention that some games address the Kempston joystick differently. This is most notable when playing Jack The Nipper and selecting Kempston Joystick. TZX support seems buggy; I could only get the emulator to load the first basic loader block. This applied to all the TZX files I tested with. Other than that, great stuff.

Great stuff.

It would be nice if there was a facility to view an image of the original Spectrum keyboard to aid keyboard input when programming.

Also when using the keyboard, the GP2X buttons A, Y and B aren't used and it would be really useful to map one of them to DELETE on the Spectrum keyboard. It would save a lot of keyboard navigation when making an error.

I've been using this for a while now and I must say that the virtual keyboard is the best I've found on any GP2X emulator I have tried so far. As I said above there is still room for improvement. You currently update the key legends when pressing Symbol Shift but not when pressing Caps Shift + Symbol Shift (cursor [E] mode). In fact this combination has not been isolated from the emulator when the virtual keyboard is on-screen as you can see the cursor changing to [E].

Overall though it's very useable typing in simple BASIC programs. I hope or wish other developers would base their virtual keyboards on yours.

I only tested Manic Miner in this new v1.4b1 but it runs slower for me than the previous v1.3. I've gone back to v1.3 for the moment as it does everything I need.

As stated by Hercules above, I also can't get tzx files to work. I haven't noticed up till now because I have loads of Spectrum games in z80 or sna format, but downloading games from World of Spectrum and you're advised to get tap if possible.

1.4b4 is noticeably smoother. Excellent work.

It hangs at startup with a weird buzzing noise on my F200. Again with the sound frequencies :(. It says in the readme that it is changeable...

1.7 is a excellent update. Finally (20 years) got to play Day 2 on Daley Thompson cos my original tape would never load.

Maybe best working emulator on GP2X. Pitty that support for real keyboard is missing - useable for text games :)
