Easy to use MMU hack.

This updated module hacks the entire upper memory, while the older one was only hacking 0x20000000-0x02010000, so was not working for most programs. If you used the older one, you may want to update.

sooo... er... what is this? does this somehow speed up the gp2x boot process or something similar? Or does it provide a general speedup with programs?

maybe it`s a kernel module which you can utilize in your applications. I guess it`s supposed to make the usage of the mmu hack easier.

Yea it does look like a kernel module doesn't it, I aint touchin it either, ive got no idea what its gonna do to my 2x.

Well, apparently it's been coded by NK so it's not going to be a virus, but I wouldn't try it out without exactly knowing what it does, too. Maybe somebody should ask him. Is he even on the gp32x board? If so, I`ll pm him.

It's the cache enabling code from Squidge's hack, but without the hack to get into kernel mode. When you open the device, it makes the upper memory cacheable to that process. At least, that's what it looks like. :)

this hack has no documentation for good reason. taking a quick look at the code I have determined that it unlocks 2 playable characters namely wolverine and juggernaut.

Very helpful, I've finally managed to try mmuhack with this and with the tip on (http://www.gp2x.de/cgi-bin/cfiles.cgi?0,0,0,0,46,1742), there was improvement in raw screen output test (from 370fps to 900, using Payern's hardware SDL!!!). So even programms who don't use the upper 32MB but output to the screen can show some improvement.
