La la la! La la la la! Finally, someone can port H.264 to this thing! ... Or not. Whatever you do with this, it's your call. I would do stuff but I'm no programmer. |

Mplayer? The one that comes with every gp2x? It would be good if this thing would be radically reprogrammed or merged with "oldplay" (great player) or something. It would be a big step forward if the mplayer could load/use external "codecs" or "modules", that can be developped and installed seperately. So the gp2x may finally play all the filetypes that have been promised by GPH! ... |
TinMans right; add in_*.dll winamp codec support and it'd be able to play almost anything :D |
erm, .dll codecs? remember: the platform gp2x is build upon uses the ARM architecture, these binary codecs only run on x86. and about h.264: are you freaking crazy? even my PIII 1GHz would choke on h.264 |
I meant not binary compatibility to .dll codecs, i meant the architecture of having seperate codecs itself. so the different codecs can be coded (or ported) individually and be integrated and updated without changing the playersoftware everytime. |
