Koules2X v0.2 - bounce incoming balls against the edge of the screen as fast as you can while dodging black holes, ever larger balls, and ...spit! . A port of the Linux abstract arcade game Koules, released in 1995 and now resurrected faithfully by Senor Quack.

Fixed in release 0.2:
Sound support added! Someone is welcome to volunteer to clean up the old sound files, see the readme. Also fixed excessive writes to SD card.

Multiplayer and external joystick support to be added soon. TV-Out coming when I get a BoB

Very nice gameplay, funny physics and easy to handle. Hard to master though. The gfx could be better, maybe some more diversity with the boulders, like textures, or animated background. But that's only eyecandy, the game is great!! Will multiplayer work on one device?

v0.2 Released! Now supports sound and fixes excessive SD writes. tinman: Glad you enjoy Koules on the GP2X! Yes, multiplayer will be supported on one device via two external joysticks or the GP2X controls and one joystick. As for the graphics, well, it's a port of an older game and I'm not much of an artist. I'll probably keep the graphics the same. When Guyfawkes releases his media player library, I'll probably add support for music playback. Remember to vote for your favorite games!

It's great to see that the game has been faithfully resurrected by Senor Quack, and that sound support has been added in release 0.2. It's also good to hear that the excessive writes to the SD card have been fixed, as this can help prevent wear and tear on the card and prolong its lifespan. password game
