I got quite excited when I saw Ledow's port of Untangle, but I was dissapointed by the poor interface, so I took it upon myself to make an improved version.
You can select between 6, 12 and 24 point puzzles. No touchscreen support yet I'm afraid, I dont own an F200 :( |

| Poor interface in what sense? Controls, graphics, user-interface?
Controls are now (in STPPC2x) much better but just need some programmer-style feedback on what, if anything, is wrong with the F-200 touchscreen controls in the game.
Graphics, I can't/won't do much about.
User interface, I can't do much about but STPPC2x has a bit of a better "interface" (i.e. you can run, solve, quit, restart etc.).
If it's either of the latter, well done to you for taking it upon yourself to improve. If it's the first, would you mind sharing your code? |

| hi ledlow. First of all I didnt mean to dump on your games, I think your portable puzzle project is a really good idea. Regarding your version of untangle, I felt it had a few flaws, namely:
- the idea of moving a cursor around to select nodes is unintuitive, and quite slow
- The screen is cut off on the right hand side
- The space in which you can move nodes is limited
- There is no discernable way to select a number of nodes for a new game
- There is no menu system for restarting/quitting etc...
Just so you know I didnt use any other code as a basis, I did it from scratch (well actually I used a lot of code from another game I am working on). If you still want to see it I am happy to send it to you, email me at PAK.nine[at]gmail[dot]com |
