Works very well - controls are well chosen and the framerate is playable. No Sound.
forgeflow:
this has been updated since my previous comment, and does not seem to work anymore.

sefirot1980 - look above the comment area - see the part where is says "Please use the I need Help-Section at the boards."? Click on that, join the boards, and ask there.
forgeflow:
new version (May 30, 2009) works great. Save games now save where they are supposed to.
qender:
Yeah, this runs perfectly! amazing job!
flagrant99:
Looks and sounds great for me. Any body have a clue how to re-configure controls? I would like to change x and y to look up and down.
jickthehick:
Ok seriously .. am I blind or are there no discussion boards on the site?? I've registered and looked around, but can't find a HELP section anywhere! So I am sorry but I have to post my question here. First, when I launch it, nothing happens, the program just exists. In the readme file it says "Pak files go into the baseq2 folder as normal"... What are Pak files?? Is this not the full game? Do I need to have the original CD handy?
tylonfoxx:
it's easy... I need Kelp in the text above the comments is a link :D In any case, ioquake2 runs great on my wiz except for some crashers at level changes with sound on. Only thing I miss would be a button that was bound to "crouch", since, among others, there's an armor powerup in the first level that I cannot get to...
tylonfoxx:
I need Help is a link... of course if you like Kelp, then get some ;)
jickthehick:
Thanks ... I never even thought to mouse over that text since it wasn't underlined... i like Kelp too.
NEIL_L:
Is there anyway that a tap (anywhere) on the screen could activate the F1 key?
NEIL_L:
...instead of firing (As there's no way to map F1)
andy9841:
Does this make use of OpenGL do you know? Would it look any better for using it or is the Wiz screnn resolution too low to notice?
NEIL_L:
*** If you want to reconfigure the controls see my post here: http://www.gp32x.com/board/index.php?/topic/51449-changing-controls-in-quake-2-port (and you can also map the touchsceen tap!)
linc186:
awesome! it runs perfectly with sound, no music however, but i dont care. Perfect frame rate, i NEVER get lag even when theres explosions, that annoying guy that bitches or whatever over the radio (i dont listen to him), combat, etc. Awesome port. The controls (i guess im the only one...) are great! i like them, they dont seem awkward to me. Also, i dont see why everyone is complaining about mapping F1. F1 works for me just by walking into things. More convenient than pushing a button if you ask me. I think tis mapped as touch because of the scarcity of buttons on the wiz. Thank you!
linc186:
This just occured to me; maybe someone can answer me. How much battery life does this consume? it has awesome 3d and sound, and don't know much about the wiz's battery. so...yeah. thank you in advance!
baccybac:
to bring up the objective screen in game, go to quake2>baseq2>config. change the line bind MOUSE1 "+attack" to bind MOUSE1 "cmd help". taping on the screen should now do the same as pressing F1.
baccybac:
Pickle is it possible to port Q3? or is the engine to good for the Wiz?
