GINGE - Ginge Is Not GP2X Emulator
Ginge is an application that can run many GP2X F100/F200 games on other ARM
Linux platforms, which currently includes Wiz. It is not a full hardware
emulator like MAME, PicoDrive or similar, it does not emulate the CPU. It can
be considered as compatibility layer similar to Wine on PC Linux, however it
does emulate small portion of MMSP2 system-on-chip. It operates by hooking
certain system calls and using realtime patching of code that accesses memory
mapped hardware directly.

| It's amazing how much works with this! The only bummer is that Vektar looks like it works, but I can't get past the startup screen because it's waiting for a keypress (where it says, "insert coin"). I think it's wanting a stick-click (ala F100). Is there any way around that? I couldn't find anything like that in the readme.txt.

| Works well - tested a few so far :) Someare hit and miss but hey, it unlocks a bunch of games you cant get otherwise! |

| Something I noticed is that when you try to go past level 999 is crashes. |
|

| Some games don't work. Others work with messed up color palettes. Here are some games that don't work, period.
-Road Smash
-PowerSlide
-Kobo Deluxe
-Plasma Defense Commander
-Shippy 1984
-Friq
-Blox
These two games work, but with the wrong colors;
-Garden2X
-GravityForce2X
And the full version of Vektar boots, but I can't seem to get pass the title screen. I owned a GP2X F200 in the past, and Vektar worked fine (no stick click), but here it doesn't seem to recognize my input. And finally, Kaiten Patissier works fine, but there are no transparencies (green squares around every graphic in the game). Hope this info helps. |
