A small firmware which boots off a FAT32-formatted SD card and totally blanks the kernel, filesystem and user portions of the NAND fixing 'bad block syndrome' often caused by 3.0->2.0 downgrades (though it can happen simply by writing to the NAND often enough).
It leaves the bootloader in tact.

| I tried to uddate from 2.11 to 4.0, and now my system loads the 4.0 boot screen, then gets stuck on "error, patch failed"
I attempted to use this utility,with the steps outlined, but It does not seem to load properly, all I see is a boot type screen "open2x"
I never see "blanking nand". Am i doomed to see 'error, patch failed' forever? or can I get this to work? |

| mmasseo and others: the problem likely has nothing to do with having installed v4.0 FW, it is probably because you are extracting the utility onto the SD incorrectly. It has been found some utilities do not extract directories if they are empty. Check your settings or try another extraction utility. Also, be sure to copy the *contents* of ON_SD/ to the root of the SD, not the ON_SD directory. |
