note: the game will run ONLY if u copy it in your sd root (inside the smashgp directoty).. is boring, and the game is boring too.. slow, ugly and with the worst i.a. ever made in a fighting game

I gave this a 6. It has a lot of potential, but the presentation really needs to be increased to stand head above the rest on the GP2X. It's fun, but there are a few bugs. Pressing the wrong button on level selection freezes the game, and the A.I can be a little too predictable at times. That and, it needs more officially supported characters, half of the fan made ones don't even work. The level quality is a bit of a let down, I can't imagine it'd take much to increase the colour depth and image resolution.

One more thing to add: I'm not saying the game is bad, i'm only saying this because I think it has a lot of potential. With a bit of polish it could turn out to be one of the top reasons to own the system.

going to be one of the coolest gp2x games - tons of people have been waiting for this. Ignore negitive comments, this is an early port from the author and more of a preview than a finished project. Anyone who played this on the gp32 knows how good this can become.

no dude he means the IA - the Interpixel Attenuation used in the zooming code which is based on mech1's quick zoom algorithm.

HELP FOR NEWBIES LIKE MYSELF I had some trouble with figuring out how to properly use Smash GP2X so I decided to post some quick tips and troubleshooting suggestions to make playing this game and adding onto it a bit more painless. For those who do not know where to get new characters for this game, I highly recommend visiting Sousanator's web site (https://sousanator.psparchive.de/). There are over 100 characters and 40 levels on this site. To add levels, save the .ARN, .BMP, and .MOD files (if there are any included) to the smashgp2x directory. To add characters, save the .CHR file and any other files and subdirectories (except for .TXT files) to your smashgp2x directory. If Smash GP crashes or hangs or generally does not work after you add new characters, try removing the character you just added, since a glitch in the character can cause these problems. If the game hangs on the level select screen, try deleting the level you just added. If the default music files are not included, you could download the PSP version of Smash GP and transfer the files with the .MOD extension to the smashgp2x directory on your SD memory card. You will know if the default music files are included if you hear music in the main menu and default levels that are included in this game. Of course, you would not need the music files, but the game is slightly better with them included. If any of this information is incorrect, please correct it.

like said before, this game has awesome potential; the player movement (being able to run faster, being able to turn around faster) could use a little tweaking and the i.a. problem is something i can cope with and I am very much looking forward to the next release(s). you have a great idea; taking a game that is a legacy and making it mobile

Game freezes when i try to go past res 4 map. also not all new charaters work but keep trying , most will. Awesome potential but not quite there yet. Recommend SSJTrunks!
