- Jun 1 2000 - Vito Caputo (swivel@gnugeneration.com) -
	* modified OSS driver for libmikmod to properly work with OSS (DMA)
	  buffer (multiple fragments writable at once)
	* shortened sleep time in libmikmod update loop
	* (troll) moved sync's in patterns up removing offset, putting them
	  inline with related sounds
	* shrunk default fragment size, increased default fragments,
	  syncing is pretty accurate now. Still supports MM_NUMFRAGS and
	  MM_FRAGSIZE environment variables if you get chunkage when you
	  run it (slow box) but this may make the syncing off.
	* added README3, shorter than ther rest ;)
	* moved version to 16.845

- Jan 30 2000 - Vito Caputo (swivel@gnugeneration.com) -
	* optimizations across everything making variables in common functions
	  static from auto.
	* changed rotozoomer to something a bit more interesting. a bit more
	  strange distortions going on now.
	* added FPS counter (only visible in SDL version or when running
	  SVGAlib from remote (serial login or telnet))
	* I would like to note that I tried XFree86 4.0 pre-release (3.9...)
	  with multi-head and while playing with this I tried loop-sdl, I was
	  running in 16bpp, the same as I have almost always used my X in, but
	  achieved 30-40 FPS, when I used to get ~14 in stable X @ 16bpp (in
	  16bpp surface conversion must be done since loop runs in 8bpp, it is a
	  pretty inefficient process) I dont know what they improved but I like
	  it. Kudos to the XFree86 developers, and anyone considering 4.0,
	  I am in full support. If you want to see loop go fast, run the
	  svgalib version in modex(320x240x256, the default for loop)

- Dec 10 1999 - Vito Caputo (swivel@gnugeneration.com) -
	* Removed most CSR-related items (its no longer valid)
	* Added correct GNU GPL notices to the beginning of every source listing
	* changed www.csrmusic.org to www.gnugeneration.com/software/loop.html
	  (csr is dead/gone)
	* added waiting for loop thread message..

- Dec 9 1999 - Vito Caputo (swivel@gnugeneration.com) -
        * Removed all signal stuff, SVGAlib version now uses threads and shared
	  variables for synchronization like the SDL version (older systems
	  may have problems with this(SVGAlib not working well with pthreads))
	* Updated libmikmod used to 3.1.8, hopefully fixes previous performance
	  issues without throwing the synching way out of wack. Also added
	  (kept) ALSA support in libmikmod. (now OSS/ALSA/NoSound supported)
	* changed text animation to stay on 1 line (intro.c)
	* started ChangeLog, see README/README2 for past information/changes
