I got only a black screen... I think it depends for "Allegro problem". Please check this: https://www.gp32x.com/board/index.php?showtopic=36738&st=30 |

I haven't tried this yet but loved the original and am very happy to see this |

Mr2X: I know about the "Allegro problem", but I didn't find a working fix for it.
On some GP2Xs (not including mine) Allegro applications just show a black screen when starting. To solve the problem, start another (working) app, quit it and then start Alex4. Using Gmenu2x should eliminate the problem, too.
Though I know about the issue, on my GP2X there was never a blank screen. It seems that only a few of them have this problem. |
|
|
Ok, I've found the issue.
The 0.9 release doesn't include a vital config file and therefore doesn't work at all.
Please wait for the (fixed) 0.91 release.
I don't know how this could happen. |
|
|
Until 0.91 is ready for download, please download this file
https://simonparzer.kilu.de/alex4.ini
and save it to your Alex4 dir on the GP2X. This will make it work. |

Very good game :)
(for black screen you can test that https://www.gp32x.com/board/index.php?showtopic=37950)

I finally finished this game [on my F100] and it was great. I managed to find all the fruit and stars for most of the levels but I may go back and perfect the few remaining.
I found it quite a difficult game and replayed nearly all of the levels multiple times before reaching the end, but the game is worth persevering with.
Highly recommended.
Cheers. |

for F200 users, open the alex.ini file and add "sound_freq = 44100" under the "sfx_path = sfx/22KHz" row.
Then apply also the allegro patch
